Grüner Veltliner grapes from the Kellerberg are harvested by hand in multiple harvesting passes and strict selection. After maceration and fermentation (partly spontaneous) in stainless steel tanks and in large wooden barrels, the wine is also aged for several months in large wooden storage barrels after initial storage in steel tanks. A late bottling after the summer brings additional depth.
The vineyards thrive on primary rock soil - on light-colored Gföhler gneiss, which consists of 90 percent feldspar and quartz. Kellerberg vineyard is known for its powerful wines, which, however, always have a fine minerality.
