Ornellaia Le Volte, 2019, 750ML

This famous Bolgheri estate was founded in 1981 by Marchese Ludovico Antinori.
In 1999 Robert Mondavi take a minority share of the estate, and by 2002 it takes full control of the Estate, and transfer 50% of shares to the Frescobaldi Family.
In 2005 the Frescobaldi family acquired the other 50% of shares from Constellation and became the sole owner of Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia.

Le Volte is the third wine of the Ornellaia estate, and produced with fruit purchased as well as estate fruit.

A blend of Merlot, Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon were fermented separately in small  steel tanks. Followed  by  full malolactic fermentation,  again  in  steel tanks.  
The  wine was then aged for 10 months, partly in barrique used previously for Ornellaia and partly in concrete tanks.
