In 1968 Fontodi was purchased by the Manetti family. (famous for the terracota tiles in the Chianti region).
The estate is certified organic and has around 70 hectares of vines planted. They have a great passion for quality and an immense respect and care for the Sangiovese grape.
In the cellar the all processes are done by gravity, and fermentations are made with wild yeast in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.
Flaccianello della Pieve is a 100% Sangiovese selected from the best vineyards of Colli Toscana Centralle.
Matured for 18 months in oak barrels from Troncais and Allier forest (70-80% new), 6 months aged in large oak casks, and 2% aged in clay amphora. Organic
