The origins of the Cacheux estate come from François Blée, who arrived on the scene in Vosne-Romanée in the early 1900s. François launched the domaine, but it was his son Charles who really established the family name in the village. In 1966 the estate was divided between the two daughters of Charles and Hélène Blée. Patrice Cacheux, the son of Lucette Blee and Jacques Cacheux took over the domaine from his father in 1994 and has been in charge since.
Patrice has made many changes in the vineyard and the cellar including moving towards biodynamic agriculture. There are no herbicide, insecticide or anti-rot applications used. The estate counts 7 ha spread over several appellations.
