Straight after oenology school at 24 years of age, David Croix joined the respected negociant Camille Giroud, where he was able to explore a wide range of terroirs in the Cote de Beaune vinified by them.
From 2002 to 2016 he was in charge of winemaking at the negoce.
Parallel to this activity David and a group of private investors bought Domaine Duchet in 2005 and started Domaine des Croix. The domaine farms 6.48ha of vines organically since 2008, but not certified.
Beaune 1er Cru Bressandes
The fruit from a 0.30ha parcel of 55 years old vines is fermented with 25% whole-cluster, with indigenous yeast. Aged for 16 months in mostly older barrels, a few months blending in tank.
