Beychevelle is a 4eme Cru Classe St Julien Chateau that owns 250 hectares of land with 90ha planted under vines planted on a deep bed of gravels from the Garonne river. It possesses one of the most impressive Chateau in the whole Medoc, and the wine is known for its smoothness, and rich character.
The wines are fermented in brand new stainless steel vats from multiple sizes to allow harvest and fermentation by parcel. Depending on the vintage malolactic can occur on tanks or barrels, and the wine is usually matured for 18 months in 50% new french oak.
A blend of 55% Cab Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 5% Cab Franc and 5% Petit Verdot
