Ancestors of the Lamarche family were already established in the village of Vosne-Romanée since 1740. Since the end of the 19th century, the estate has grown bigger over the years: Henri Lamarche, a cooper, married Marie Grivelet from Chambolle-Musigny and founded the estate at the beginning of the 20th century He produced, matured and already sold his wines directly from the estate.
The late Francois Lamarche ran the estate with the help of his wife Marie-Blanche from the death of his father Henri in 1985 until his retirement in 2006.
