Chateau Grand Village is a 17 hectares property located in the village of Mouillac in the Right Bank, and home of Chateau Lafleur owner, Jacques and Sylvie Guinaudeau and their family.
The Estate has been in the family since the 17th century but only in 2000 the Guinaudeau family made profound changes in the wine production method of the estate, copying the same vinification and vineyard management techniques used in Chateau Lafleur in Pomerol. (that includes genetic material from the vines of Lafleur)
Bordeaux Superieur Rouge
The wine is a blend of 81% Merlot and 19% Cabernet Franc (varying with the vintage). Fermented in a mix of stainless steel and cement tanks with a soft maceration.
Aged for 12 months in oak barrels 30% new oak, 40% 1 year old barrels, 30% 2 years old barrels.
Around 60.000 are produced per year.
