Domaine de Bellene and Roche de Bellene (negociant) were established by Nicolas Potel in 2005, following the sale of his negociant operation Maison Nicolas Potel in 2004 to Cottin Freres (also owner of Laboure-Roi).
Currently Domaine de Bellene leases 24 hectares of vineyards situated in Beaune, Nuits-Saint-Georges, Saint-Romain, Santenay, Volnay and Vosne-Romanée.
In the cellar the domaine has very modern equipments but a hands off approach and no additives used.
Bourgogne Pinot Noir Clos Bardot Veilles Vignes
100% Pinot Noir
From vines in Comblanchien this is a south facing single vineyard Bourgogne with 0.618 ha. Production only at 3040 bottles.
Old vineyard planted in 1936 with clay-limestone soil. The fermentation lasts 25 days and we press the must in a vertical press. The vats are then emptied by gravity and the wine is stored in oak barrels that have already been used once, twice or three times. Bottling without fining and filtration.
