The distillery

Dailuaine is not well known to many whisky enthusiast, as it is usually used as a blending component for Johnnie Walker.

The distillery is located between the Ben Rinnes and the River Spey and it was founded in1853 by William Mackenzie. Dailuaine was rebuilt several times, and it was once a main stop of the railway that ran across the region delivering barley and coal to the distillers.
