Highland Park Ice Edition, 17 years old
Highland Park Ice Edition is a Single malt Scotch Whisky matured in 1st Fill Bourbon Casks, and bottled in 2016 with 17 years old at 53.6% ABV.
30.000 bottles produced of the Ice Edition were produced.
Following on from The Valhalla Collection, this new limited edition Highland Park will also come with a cradle, which will be shaped like a mountain as opposed to a longship.
Tasting Notes: Fresh pineapple, Mango sorbet, Root ginger, Peat smoke, Vanilla, Aromatic spices.
Located in Kirkwall and Highland Park is the most northerly distillery in Scotland.
It was founded in 1798 by David Robertson on was once the site of Magnus Eunson, a butcher and church official by day, and a successful smuggler by night.
In 1895, James Grant of Glenlivet fame acquired the Highland Park distillery. Three years later he installed further stills, bringing the total to four.
The distillery draws its water from the mineral rich springs to the east of the distillery as well as the Crantit Spring
is one if the few distilleries in Scotland to malt its own barley.
Nowadays the distillery is owned by the Edrington group, and some of its whiskies are used in the Famous Grouse blend.
