Single vineyard Cinsaut from the Breedekloof with cherries and strawberries, it has a feminine elegance to it with a surprisingly intense personality.
The idea for My Koffer came after Pieter Walser completed a month of harvest in Stellenbosch. There after making hundreds of thousands of liters of Tassenberg, (a mass produced wine made by a big cooperative in SA), he realized that the fresh strawberry component that he loves in wines comes from the Cinsault variety, used in the blend of Tassenberg.
That was the spark to start producing his own version of a wine dominated by fresh strawberry and red cherries aromas.
Walser was referred to a Swiss farmer that produces exceptional Cinsault in Breedekloof. (Bruno and Carlo Suter). Nine vintages later My Koffer is still one of the most sough after wines from Pieter Walser.
