Mouzon Leroux
The family has been established in Champagne since 1776, and the first bottling with the domaine labels started to be sold in 1930.
Currently Sebastien Mouzon the 9th generation of the Mouzon family to grow grapes in Verzy runs this 7.5ha domaine.
After finishing his studies in oenology and viticulture Sebastien spent a year working in Burgundy, which helped him to expand his understanding of the use of oak for fermentation and maturation.
In 2008 he started the conversion to biodynamic farming, which was completed in 2011. The domaine is currently certified organic and biodynamic by Demeter.
Charles Van Canneyt
In 2012 Charles started his micro-negociant operation in partnership with Johan Björklund, who’s a former wine merchant and how runs the famous Bistro de L'Hotel de Beaune.
Nowadays he source grapes from multiple appellations from Chablis to the Cote de Beaune, including grand crus like Chambertin, Clos de Beze, Bonnes Mares, Corton and Chablis Les Clos, top 1er crus such as Les St Georges, Santenots, La Richemone, village Morey-St-Denis, and Gevrey Chambertin and Bourgogne.
The wines are light bodied, with moderate alcohol levels, fresh acidity and a gentle oak influence.
