Giuseppe Castiglioni started Querciabella in 1974 with a single hectare of land. Quickly he expanded the size of the holdings and just as quick he realized the importance of growing grapes in the most natural way possible. He converted the vineyards to organic in 1988.
50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Blanc
Whole cluster pressed, and vatted with partial lees.
Fermented with indigenous yeast in oak barrels, and matured in 20% new Frech oak for 10 month, before being racked to concrete tanks for blending and integrating before bottling.
Regular battonage and full malo.
