Tasting Note
With a radiant pale gold colour in the glass, the 2021 Mâcon-Bray, Les Essarts, by Pierre Boisson, immediately entices with its brilliant clarity and inviting hue.
The palate reveals a harmonious and well-balanced character. Crisp notes of ripe green apples and juicy pears. Tropical flavours, such as ripe pineapple and a whiff of tangy passion fruit.
Smooth texture with a medium body that carries the flavours gracefully across the palate. A refreshing acidity enhances the overall liveliness. The finish is satisfyingly long, leaving a lasting impression of crisp fruits and mineral nuances.
This wine can be enjoyed now for its youthful exuberance but also holds the potential for further development with some cellaring. Pair it with light seafood dishes, grilled poultry, or a selection of soft cheeses.
Winemaking Winery
Winery
The Boisson family Domaine in Meursault is a total of 8.5 hectares and they have been leading wine makers in the region for over two centuries. These are divided up between Bernard Boisson and his two children, Pierre and Anne. Although the wines are labelled individually as Boisson-Vadot, Pierre Boisson and Anne Boisson, they make the wines altogether in excactly the same way.
