Since tasting Hudelot-Noellat Les Beaumonts 2009, I have been completely captivated by its elegant and delicate style. Recently, I had the good fortune to taste another wine from the same vintage, Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Murgers 2009, whose unfathomable depth and strength once again left me deeply impressed.

The 2009 vintage was a warm one, achieving elegance was by no means easy. Yet Charles Van Canneyt always manages to capture that essence. Now at its ideal drinking window, Les Murgers has retained its pure fruit character, while unfolding delicate notes of dried flowers and sweet spices, weaving together a captivating sense of layers and complexity.
